We discovered Amasokolara FC with the help of our good friend Kabelo (@kasiflavour10) who is based in Johannesberg. He told us about an old team mate named Pepe who now coached a group of young men in the township of Alexandra. When asked how Pepe got his name the response was – “you should see how he tackles!”
As soon as we started speaking with Pepe we knew this was the team we wanted to help. His passion for the game and love for these young men is what steers them away from dark roads and keeps them playing football.
We asked Pepe what support he needs first, to which he replied,
“We used to be called Black Poison FC but this is a new chapter, so please call us Amasokolara FC and make us a new crest”. It’s fair to say Pepe was very happy with what we designed.
